1. Nature of Information Provided

JurisSetu (“Platform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides legal information, research assistance, compliance guidance, and AI-generated analysis as a technology platform and information service.

THE INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THIS PLATFORM DOES NOT CONSTITUTE LEGAL ADVICE AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR INDEPENDENT LEGAL, TAX, FINANCIAL, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE FROM A QUALIFIED PRACTITIONER.

All content on JurisSetu — including AI-generated responses, expert opinions, case law summaries, compliance checklists, legal risk scores, and certificates — is provided solely as general information and educational material. Nothing on this Platform creates or constitutes an attorney-client, expert-client, or any other professional advisory relationship.

2. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Completeness

While JurisSetu makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we expressly disclaim any warranty — express or implied — regarding:

  • The accuracy, completeness, reliability, or currency of any information on the Platform
  • The applicability of any legal provision, circular, notification, or case law to your specific facts
  • The correctness of AI-generated analysis, which is based on training data and may not reflect the most recent amendments
  • The outcome of any legal proceeding, regulatory inquiry, tax assessment, or compliance audit
  • The quality, accuracy, or professional competence of third-party experts accessible through the Platform

Laws, regulations, circulars, and judicial interpretations change frequently. The Platform cannot guarantee that information reflects the current state of the law at the time you access it.

3. AI-Generated Content Limitations

JurisSetu uses artificial intelligence and machine learning models to generate legal analysis and responses. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI models may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading outputs (commonly referred to as “hallucinations”)
  • AI-generated case law citations should be independently verified before reliance
  • AI responses do not account for jurisdiction-specific nuances unless explicitly specified
  • AI analysis is based on the information you provide; garbage-in equals garbage-out
  • No AI response should be submitted to any court, authority, or regulator without independent expert review and validation

4. Expert Opinion Disclaimer

Expert opinions provided through the JurisSetu marketplace are the individual professional views of the respective experts. JurisSetu:

  • Does not endorse, verify, guarantee, or warrant the accuracy of any expert opinion
  • Is not responsible for errors, omissions, or negligence in expert opinions
  • Does not represent that any expert opinion constitutes formal legal advice under applicable professional rules
  • Facilitates connection between users and experts but is not party to any expert-client engagement

Expert certificates issued through the Platform are opinions based on the facts and documents provided by the user. They do not constitute formal legal opinions issued under professional letterhead unless explicitly stated in the certificate itself.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JURISSETU AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, TECHNOLOGY PROVIDERS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, business, revenue, data, or goodwill
  • Damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content or expert opinions
  • Unfavourable outcomes in legal proceedings, tax assessments, or regulatory actions
  • Data breaches or unauthorized access not attributable to gross negligence on our part

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our aggregate liability shall be strictly limited to the fees actually paid by you for the specific service that gave rise to the claim, in the preceding three (3) months.

6. No Solicitation of Legal Business

JurisSetu is a technology platform and not a law firm, CA firm, CS firm, or any other regulated professional entity. This Platform does not solicit legal business. The facilitation of connections between users and independent experts does not constitute legal solicitation. Users engage experts independently, and JurisSetu acts solely as a technology intermediary.

7. Jurisdiction-Specific Warning

Indian law is highly jurisdiction-specific. The same transaction, event, or document may be treated differently under central and state laws, local body regulations, industry-specific rules, and regulatory frameworks. Legal positions may vary significantly based on:

  • The state or union territory in which you operate
  • The specific industry, sector, or business activity involved
  • The exact facts and circumstances of your situation
  • Recent amendments, circulars, or judicial decisions

Always consult a qualified practitioner admitted in the relevant jurisdiction before acting on any information obtained from this Platform.

8. User Responsibility

You, the user, are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying all information, citations, and analysis obtained from the Platform before reliance
  • Obtaining independent professional advice before making legal, business, or financial decisions
  • The accuracy and completeness of information you provide to the AI system or to experts
  • Any consequences arising from reliance on Platform content without independent verification
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

9. Third-Party Links and Databases

The Platform may reference or link to third-party legal databases, court websites, regulatory portals, and other resources. JurisSetu is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party resource. Such links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Disclaimer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [City], India, subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
